Sabika Firasat

Sabika Firasat joined Chen lab as a research associate in April 2024. She received her M.Phil and Ph.D degree from Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), Lahore, Pakistan. She worked as a postdoc at Institute of Clinical Chemistry / UMG-Laboratories, Georg August University, Göttingen, Germany from 2013-2014. She is tenured associate professor at Department of Zoology, Faculty of Biological Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Sabika’s research in the Chen lab is focused on molecular genetic analysis of inherited retinal dystrophies (IRD).
