Arpit Katiyar joined Chen lab as a postdoctoral associate in November 2023. He received his PhD degree with a major in biochemistry from the Graduate School of Medicine, Yamaguchi University, Japan, in 2020, and a master’s in biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India. Prior to joining Dr. Chen’s lab, he worked as a postdoc at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India, where he worked on the identification of genetic variants linked to cardiac and neurodevelopmental disorders. Arpit’s research in the Chen lab focuses on the functional characterization of genetic variants associated with retinal dystrophy using high-throughput assays.
